San Francisco Trip
Hello dear friends. How are you all doing?
Well, I am doing ok and we had a nice time in San Francisco. It's quite a city, a beautiful one! I had been there many moons ago and it was wonderful to revisit. We walked and walked and climbed hills, but I'll let some pictures do the talking.
Union Square Park, two blocks from our hotel. Beautiful weather and quite a change from hot and
humid Miami
Miette Patisserie at the Ferry Building
I went crazy with all the wonderful pastries! I purchased the chocolate mini cake
on the third row middle... Delicious! I also purchased caramel and fudge candies
which were out of this world!
More pictures of goodies. Love the apple green and pink decor.
I would love to own a patisserie!!!!!!!
And of course, I had to take a picture of her famous princess cake
And then there is Stonehouse Olive Oil. My husband and I are crazy with these oils, specially wonderful with sourdough, italian, or french bread. Of course, we purchased two bottles!
Any cheese lovers out there? We absolutely loved this place, Cowgirl Creamery!
Exquisite cheeses, organic butter, and sauces
Tour of the city in a double decker bus. Love the architecture.
Wonderful China Town
Wouldn't miss the wine tasting in Sonoma Valley... Beyond beauty
More wine tasting in Napa Valley
Madonna Winery in Napa
It was surreal to have lunch at Bottega, owned by chef Michael Chiarello!! Wonderful food, ambiance, and service!
This store is across the restaurant and also owned by Chef Chiarello.
At Fisherman's Wharf, we ate great seafood. You can see Alcatraz behind me.
What can I tell you? I went crazy in Boudin Bakery, also at Fisherman's Wharf. The best sourdough ever! I even bought an apron with their logo.
Is this cute or what?
Absolutely loved this place. Would have bought all these loaves, but they did not fit inside my tote bag.
Beautiful Sausalito. Look at the houses on the hills! I want to live there!
Fabulous San Francisco downtown at night
And of course, I wouldn't miss a picture of the famous cable cars
Oh, I almost forgot to show you Jimi Hendrix's house! Cool, huh?
This concludes our San Francisco trip. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. You know, this was the first time my husband and I have taken a trip by ourselves; after all, we've only been married for almost three decades.
